Alpha Gamma Delta Sorrority

Carpet Removal, Patching, Sanding/Re-finishing Wood Floors

About this Project

Alpha Gamma Delta sorority in the Wesleyan University reached out to multiple contractors, and chose CT Construction to update their entire first floor. We needed to remove carpet in multiple rooms, this exposed the underlying wood floor that CT encouraged not to get rid of and that would be able to patch the damaged areas of the wood floor. This resulted in the removal of boards, patching, sanding and re-finishing of the wood floors. Also included in the update was soffits around all sprinkler system lines to get rid of the “industrial” feel. Updated lighting fixures were installed, LED lighting was added throughout where lighting did not exist before. We painted and installed new quarry tile in the kitchen and did more tile work in the front entry.

Next summer, we are contracted to update the bathrooms of the sorority. We completely gutted the second and third floor bathrooms as well as the main bathrooms, and tiled new showers with new shower pans, updated plumbing & electrical. New granite and undermount sinks were installed and painting to top it all of.

This project had its challenges starting from the beginning where everything was plaster and lath and multiple plumbing issues we needed to work around.Â
